The Kool Skools Project

Kool Skools project

Songwriting and recording project

The Kool Skools Recording Project was initiated by Studio 52 back in 1996 with a small pilot recording of a few school albums, the full project kicked off in 1997 with 20 Victorian schools and major sponsors including Apple Australia, Tattersalls Trust and Alesis music products c/o the Australian distributor Electric Factory. More recently the project has been run for secondary schools and council youth groups in both Victoria and NSW by Studio 52 and Music Feeds Studios in Sydney. The project is for emerging artists and young songwriters. In 2020 the entire project was cancelled due to school and studio closures forced by Covid 19. 2021 will be the project’s 25th year and it is hoped that this will be a huge celebration year with up to 50 schools and councils involved.
