Empire Music Studios has 4 studios as part of Melbourne’s largest recording facility and now the largest studio is designed to double as a live performance venue with seating for 110 people and full recording services in-house. This week we have Stylus who took their beginning in the Countdown years performing multiple times on the show. They were the first and only Australian band to be signed to the Motown Label in the US, later to be signed by EMI in Japan. With multiple hits and many releases they are still going strong with 3 of the original members. Today’s lineup features Peter Cupples, Ronnie Peers and Sam McNally joined by the incomparable Doug Williams on Bass and 2nd lead vocal plus the amazing Gerry Pantazis on drums.
