Mastering
All the studios at 52 have mastering and CD burning facilities. As the other equipment and acoustics vary in each other room it is probably wise to speak to the engineers or management at 52 about your individual project before making a booking. The pricing generally doesn’t vary between studios for this service and will sometimes come down to which studio is available. Many smaller jobs at 52 are mastered as part of the package price and will be done automatically in the same studio as you record in as part of the session, this is true of demos and most special priced single & EP packages.

Bring your project in for mastering at 52
Many people send their recordings from interstate and from local studios to Studio 52 for mastering and CD manufacture - this is a service we are happy to provide. Generally, specific mastering sessions are done in studio A or studio C. Studio 52 can work with a variety of master formats but 24 bit raw files on CD are preferred. Masters on formats such as Minidisc or DAT will incur extra costs due to real-time transfers. It is recommended that you discuss your individual project needs with Studio 52 staff to determine the best solution.
Rates are generally $110 per hour inc.GST but can sometimes be negotiated dependent on availability and which studio is utilised. A Minimum of 2 hour bookings applies. Cheaper rates may apply when included in complete package deals.
