Studio 52 offers a range of extra facilities designed to make your recording experience a pleasant one. These include a large kitchen, meals area, TV and pool room. This is a great area to chill out, meet other artists recording within the building and enjoy free tea or plunger coffee.
Parking
Street parking at Studio 52 is usually readily available without too much stress from the grey ghosts (parking inspectors generally police the shopping areas in Smith St more than Johnston St), however, please avoid the clearway times !! Our side (city side) of Johnston St is a clearway each morning between 6am and 9.30am (not usually a problem for musicians) however the other side of Johnston St is a clearway from 4-6.30pm and you are gteed of a $100 fine if you park there at that time. Sorry – Studio 52 will not cover you for parking fines! Hence the above warning. Some limited offstreet parking may be available for your session – please call to discuss or ask on the day when you arrive. Please do not use our staff car spaces or park in other tenant spots!
Unloading Gear
There is a laneway which runs beside Studio 52. This laneway can be used for short amounts of time to drop off gear or unload direct into the laneway entrance at studio A (only if recording in studio A). Gear for use in studio B, C or D should be loaded via the front staircase from Johnston St through front reception.

We can work with your CD master and your artwork supplied or you can utilize our professional services to master the CD and finalise your artwork to professional printers standards.
